Fettuccine Alfredo Grunt Style

With green onion sausage from @tnmeatco

I love Italian food, and Alfredo is a special kind of dish. Most people just buy it in the jar, but it is easy to make, and you can get the taste you want by making it yourself.

  • 2-3 links sausage (for this I am using green onion sausage from TN Meat Co)
  • 1 pack Rana Fettuccine noodles
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 small shallot diced
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded (I am using parmesan and asiago cheese)
  • Salt, pepper, Italian herbs to taste
  • 1/4 stick Irish butter
  • 2 tbsp. Jack Daniels (optional)

Start by searing your sausage in the butter. Move to the side, and add your shallot and garlic to sauté. If you are going to add liquor this would be the time, to get that taste in there.

Turn heat to a low, and mix in your heavy cream and seasoning. Let simmer for 2-3 min.

Add your shredded cheese and let cook for another 2-3 min. on low.

Finally add your Rana Fettuccine noodles. I like these noodles, because there is no precooking required. Cook for another 3-4 min. Mixing every 1 min. to ensure the noodles are properly cooked and coated.
